To set the ride in a different mode. Notice all the Gold Wings. I almost thought I saw a few brew coffee from an on board coffee pot. The three who did not ride gold wings had a terrible ride. Honestly it was the worst ride of my life on that V-Rod (and I loved the V-Rod.). I had only returned to riding three years prior and after that ride I started looking for a cruiser and got a 2007 BMW 1200 LT ( and the Barbers South collection started in earnest.)
